9-to-5 nail hacks
Everyday office supplies find a second life as your manicure’s new best friend, making nail art—or simply staying within the lines—that much easier. (Just maybe not during work hours!)
STUCK ON GLUE
Paint a layer of glue around your nails, then let it dry before applying your fave polish. Got messy? No big deal. Once the polish is dry, peel away the glue and any wayward polish for sleek, salon perfection.
Make a nail stencil by using a novelty hole punch (shaped like stars, hearts or clovers) on masking or painter’s tape. Place the tape firmly over your dry base color. Add polish over the tape stencil, then gently pull it off before the polish dries. Finish with a clear top coat.
Adhesive tape makes graphic designs a snap. Go halfsies, diagonal or do a checkerboard pattern by covering your nail with the tape in the desired design. Polish the rest of the nail, then remove the tape once the polish is dry.
