HOW TO TAME FRIZZY HAIR
Naturally curly hair can be cute, chic, charming, or all of the above, but it’s also prone to – ugh – frizz. Learn how to fight the frizz, no matter the season or environment!
WHAT HAVE YOU GOT?
A glorious mass of tumbling curls.
SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
It explodes into a frizzy mess once the humidity levels start going haywire, summer or winter.
HERE'S WHAT TO DO…
First of all, don’t skip the conditioner. If you do, your hair is only going to get fluffier. Frizz happens when dry hair sucks up the air’s moisture!
Then make friends with mousse. Nowadays, the formulas dry up soft, not crunchy, and they’ll define your curls very nicely indeed. Add a silicone serum to the gang, if necessary.
Finally, do not leave the house with wet hair. You want things under control before stepping out into that humidity. So give your curls a blast of the hairdryer or, if you’ve got the time, air dry at home.

According to the celebrity “hair doctor” Philip Kingsley, look out for any of the following ingredients in your hair products: glycerin (retains moisture), benzalkonium chloride (anti-static agent), silicone (reduces static and frizz) and acetylated lanolin alcohol (softens and smoothes hair).
HOW ABOUT SOME CELEBRITY INSPIRATION?
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cher and Selena Gomez all face the daily battle of frizz and seem to come out on top. SJP’s secret, we know, lies in the subtle use of a curling tong to get definition. Of course, you can also just embrace your frizz – just look how fab Solange and Grace Coddington always look!
