TOP 5 EYE MAKEUP TRENDS FOR SPRING
The new beauty season is here! We round up five of the top eye makeup trends, as spotted on the spring catwalks.
WE’VE GOT THE BLUES
If you only got room for one new colour in
your spring palette, let it be blue. It was on every spring catwalk –
from bold mono shades in cobalt blue to more discreet, pastel
eyeliners. We also saw a disco-inspired take on the trend, with
metallic, turquoise shades.
KRAZY FOR KOHL
Eyeliner, and in particular eyeliner on the
waterline, provided a cool contrast to the fresh-faced, natural look
we saw on many catwalks. Be liberal with your eyeliner, but leave the
rest of your face neutral. Hair is important in this look too; play
with its natural texture for a loose, almost bohemian style. Think
hippie-luxe with a grungy twist.
LASHING OUT
Clumpy, spidery mascara, exaggerated lengths, wispy
falsies. This season was all about the lashes. And please, do go ahead
and try this at home – this trend is more about experimenting,
embracing the imperfect.
TIME TO SHINE
Glitter is a huge trend this season. You might
associate metallic shades with New Year and the party season, but
glitter works just as well for the lighter months. We love a more
subtle, soft and romantic take on the trend – dab lightly on your
eyelids for best results.
SUBTLE SIXTIES
If you’re not that krazy for kohl but still like
to add a little drama to your look – this is the trend for you.
Minimalist, yet striking lines of black eyeliner left an impact on the
spring catwalks. Leave the rest of your eyes rather naked, and match
with a fresh face and red lips.
