WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE?
”I am very versatile; I love mixing sexy, feminine styles with more masculine stuff. My signature style is definitely playful – oversized coats, plain white t-shirts and jeans worn with see-through fabrics, leather and short lengths. Everything at the same time!”
WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGNER?
”[Current Louis Vuitton designer and former Balenciaga designer] Nicolas Ghesquière: he never fails to impress me, he experiments and he puts something new and different on the market every year.”
WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE ON EARTH?
”London. I moved there right after finishing high school and went to Central Saint Martins. It's the city of freedom, self-expression and creativity.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?
”Pasta. The reason is simple: growing up in Italy I realized that if you've got pasta, a little bit of garlic and some olive oil in your kitchen, you can make the most delicious dinner.”
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO LOOK?
”A well-cut masculine suit with nothing underneath the jacket, paired with sneakers, a mini bag and with my hair in a messy chignon à la Dolce & Gabbana.”
WHY IS FASHION IMPORTANT?
”Because it is a reflection of our society and it put our values in context. In the late 1930s, in the beginning of World War II, fashion saw the use of man-made fabrics like viscose or rayon because no money could be spent on expensive natural fabrics, plus, clothing had been rationed in many countries. In 2015, we see streetwear on the runway and faux fur in high fashion. And that's because of the era we live in, an era where REAL people create trends, both in fashion and morally speaking.”
IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN HISTORY, WHAT FASHION ERA WOULD YOU LIKE TO
”The era of subcultures fascinates me so much. Being a punk music addict, I would definitely say I would live in the late 1960s and 1970s, I'd hang out with Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren and go to all the Sex Pistols gigs.”
WHAT ITEM WOULD YOU NEVER PART FROM?
”My hats. They always save a bad hair day and they add a nice touch to your look too.”
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD?
”It is such a cliché, but being the daughter of two musicians, I wanted to be a rock star.”
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY FASHION PLEASURE?
”Birkenstocks... Every day of summer.”
WHAT IS YOUR LATEST BEAUTY DISCOVERY?
”Drinking Aloe Vera every day completely changes your skin.”
