HOW TO GET FULLER LIPS (AU NATURAL!)
Not everyone is born with Angelina Jolie-like lips, but you can cheat just a little with makeup with the right prep and a strong lip liner game. Read on for tips and inspiration!
WHAT HAVE YOU GOT?
Soft lips that have a tendency to smile and laugh a lot.
SO WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?
They’re on the thin side. I’m not asking for Angelina Jolie pillow-like lips, but I’d like to see some oomph!
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO…
Do a little prep work first by scrubbing your lips with an exfoliator or even just your toothbrush. This will boost your blood circulation and get rid of any flakiness. Then apply a thin layer of lip balm to help fill in any lines and create a smooth surface. If you’re opting for colour for your lips, stay away from really dark shades as they will make your lips look smaller. But whatever you choose, lip liner is key. Trace lightly over your lip line, extending slightly beyond the edges. Fill in your lips completely with the lip liner then apply a creamy lipstick in the same shade. For the final flourish, dab a bit of highlighter or metallic eyeshadow on your Cupid’s bow for depth.

Try a shiny neutral gloss just on the centre of your top and bottom lips. “This reflects light and provides a 3D effect,” says Charlotte Tilbury, the go-to British makeup artist to beauties such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Moss and Amal Clooney.
HOW ABOUT SOME CELEBRITY INSPIRATION?
Kirstin Dunst, Jennifer Aniston and Diane Kruger all have lips on the thinner side. As such, you’ll often find them in shades of red, pink and nude because they lend themselves to looking fuller on the lips.
