WHY IS FASHION IMPORTANT?
“To me fashion is a way to expand perceptions of what and who is around me. I really use it as an instrument of knowledge. I express myself as an artist would do in a painting, so it’s definitely my way to go through life in general.”
WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?
“Can you guess by looking at my long dark hair? I've always been a huge fan of Cher, she's so unpredictable and a chameleon – but always with her own mark. But I can't lie, I've learned how to be classy and chic from my granny.”
WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGNER?
“I have several love stories, and favourites depend on my mood. One day I'm Margiela and the next I feel like a Wang doll. In my top five are Maison Martin Margiela, [Hedi] Slimane, Nicola Ghesquière and lately J.W. Anderson for Loewe. From time to time I love being sexy wearing Pucci and Dolce & Gabbana.”
IF YOU HAD TO LEAVE YOUR APARTMENT IN A HURRY, WHAT WOULD YOU
“This is too difficult for me. Friends who know me very well always joke with me and say: ‘You would rather die than leave your clothes’.”
IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN HISTORY, WHAT FASHION ERA WOULD YOU LIKE TO
“The past year to me was everything since I really love the 70s. I was really feeling the disco vibe that Saint Laurent brought back. If I could go straight to the future it would be perfect since my greatest passion is vintage items, so imagine how many I would have...”
WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE ON EARTH?
“Living in Milan makes me always dream of sea and sun, right now I would love to be in LA or maybe in Sardinia like when I was a child.”
WHAT ITEM WOULD YOU NEVER PART FROM?
“I would have answered my black Céline sunglasses, but during the past London Fashion Week I left my beloved ones in a cab. I think every person should have one favourite pair of shades."
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY FASHION PLEASURE?
“Shoes. I can't help myself. Sometimes I buy shoes that I will probably never wear just because they look so beautiful.”
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET?
“Earlier today I was taking a look at the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition and thought that he has always been five steps ahead of everyone. I would really love to have met him one more time. I think he really was a genius and a huge loss for the world of contemporary fashion.”
WHAT IS YOUR LATEST BEAUTY DISCOVERY?
“If you could open my bag right know you would discover an entire set of creams, my favourite of all is Cera di Cupra for sensitive skin and lips like mine. It’s the perfect treatment.”
