A-listers celebrate the H&M Conscious Exclusive collection in LA
Chrissy Teigen wore double-slit trousers to the exclusive dinner in Los Angeles.
Last night, supermodel Natalia Vodianova – the face of the upcoming H&M Conscious Exclusive 2017 campaign – and H&M Creative Advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson invited some of our favourite celebs and fashion people to an intimate evening to celebrate the collection launch. In line with the conscious theme, the event took place at SmogShoppe, one of the most sustainable urban spaces in the US. The guests where greeted by an art installation featuring the star piece of the H&M Conscious Exclusive collection; an ethereal Bionic® polyester gown made from recycled shoreline plastic.
“Conscious Exclusive is a chance to dream and create pieces that are both edgy and beautiful. It’s great to be able to show just what is possible with sustainable materials like we have done with the delicate plissé dress made of Bionic®,“says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Creative Advisor.
To last night’s dinner, Chrissy Teigen wore a pair of high-slit trousers and a kimono-style blazer, while Orlando Bloom looked dapper in a black suit from the collection. Ultra cool rising star Sasha Lane was dressed in a sheer tulle dress, while dad-to-be Lucky Blue Smith – who arrived with girlfriend Stormi Bree – opted for a patterned blazer and a simple white t-shirt. Dressed in the collection were also model Hailey Baldwin and actor Kate Mara.
The collection hits selected stores and hm.com on 20 April. New to this year’s Conscious Exclusive is a menswear and a kids line – plus an organic perfume oil trio joining the ladies’ collection.
“I am proud to be the face of the H&M Conscious Exclusive campaign. It’s amazing to see the advances in sustainable fabrics that are used in the collection, pointing towards a more sustainable future for all fashion,” says Natalia Vodianova.
