TOP 5 Nail Trends
This season is all about short and healthy fingernails. Read on for our five favourite runway trends!
NICE AND NEUTRAL
From the beige hues at Chanel and Alexander Wang to the almost-not-there polish atVersace, Emilia Wickstead and Victoria Beckham – the biggest trend of the season is really an anti-trend.
IN THE FRONTLINE
This season, we love uniform coating. Rich, deep olive greens – as seen on Preen’s runway – and dark shades of grey (best done by Proenza Schouler) are perfect for autumn!
Deep bordeaux shades (seen on Derek Lam’s catwalk) and glossy almost-black hues (see Giles or Phillip Lim for reference), this trend is all about the shiny texture. Don’t forget the top coat!
If you have a hard time staying neutral, this is the trend for you. Petrol blue hues were seen at the Dior show, while Sass and Bide mixed blue polish with black for an even darker shade.
THE ART OF MINIMALISM
It’s time to say goodbye to the OTT nails we’ve seen for the past few seasons. This autumn’s nail art is simple, minimal and actually pretty easy to try at home. Google catwalk images from David Koma, Thierry Mugleror Tibi for inspiration.
