In his Paris studio, creative director Olivier Rousteing tells us more about the man behind Balmain and how fashion played a crucial part in his life.

This November, it is time for the fashion event of 2015 – the Balmain x H&M collection. While we are all waiting for what looks like a fabulous collection (the H&M Instagram account has already offered a couple of sneak peeks), we want to give you the chance to get to know the world of Balmain – and creative director Olivier Rousteing. Rousteing invited us to the Balmain studio on Rue François 1er in Paris, and in a three-part interview series he tells us more about the collaboration and about himself. In the first video, Rousteing told us about how he was “an H&M kid” growing up, and that he used to wait in line for the H&M guest designer collections.

In this second chapter, Olivier Rousteing talks about how fashion helped him find his own identity – and why Balmain is a vision of a new world.

The Balmain x H&M collection will be available from November 5, in around 250 stores worldwide and online, and will feature clothing and accessories for both women and men.
