10. HALLE BERRY ON THE RED CARPET, 2005
Halle Berry looked impeccable at the 2005 Emmys in a two-toned blue Ungaro strapless gown, landing her at the top of the best-dressed lists, even if she didn’t pick up an award for her role in Their Eyes Were Watching God that evening.

9. BARBRA STREISAND’S BREAKTHROUGH AWARD
In 1965, Barbra won an award for Outstanding Individual Achievements in Entertainment for My Name is Barbra, a television special for the then up-and-coming star. The award helped catapult her to stardom across the country.

8. KERI RUSSELL ON THE RED CARPET, 2000
At the height of her Felicity fame, Keri Russell showed up to the Emmys in a daring Giorgio Armani dress, covered in sparkles and with a very grown-up plunging neckline – helping Keri establish herself as much more than a teen idol.

7. CHRISTINA HENDRICKS ON THE RED CARPET, 2010
Christina Hendricks is always one of the best-dressed, and this purple Zac Posen confection at the 2010 Emmys, where she was nominated for an award for her turn as Joan Holloway in Mad Men, is no exception.

6. TONY DANZA IS THE DESIGNATED COLLECTOR
What happens to the awards that nobody turns up to collect? If you’re lucky, Tony Danza will step in to collect them all, as he did at the 40th Emmys in 1988, picking up any uncollected awards throughout the night.

5. KERRY WASHINGTON ON THE RED CARPET, 2014
The gorgeous Kerry Washington stood out from a sea of safe, boring gowns at the 2014 Emmys in a stunning orange dress from Prada, where she earned a nomination for her role as Olivia Pope in Scandal.

4. BRAD PITT AND JENNIFER ANISTON ARE LOVED UP
It’s like a 1990's dream! In better times, Brad and Jen were happy to land on the red carpet for the 1999 Emmys, with Jen opting for an unusual dreadlock-style do to break away from the dominant Rachel cut of the era.

3. ELLEN DEGENERES PULLS A BJÖRK
In 2001, when the Emmys were delayed by two months due to global conflict, host Ellen DeGeneres attempted to lighten the mood by getting hold of a dress reminiscent of Björk’s infamous swan dress from that year’s Oscars.

2. JIMMY FALLON’S GLEE PARODY AT THE 2010 EMMYS
Hosting the 2010 Emmys required Jimmy Fallon to make a real splash. He did that by spoofing the TV show Glee with the help of real Glee cast members and some celebrity friends, such as Tina Fey and Jon Hamm, who joined him on stage for a rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run

1. NEIL PATRICK HARRIS CATCHES THE EYES OF AMY POEHLER AND TINA FEY
BFFs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler had fun at the 2013 Emmys, where they heckled host Neil Patrick Harris, imploring him to “twerk it” while wearing 3D glasses and eating buckets of popcorn before crawling on stage together to present an award.
