HAUTE COUTURE WITH TINA LEUNG
Amazing dresses, fancy cocktails and late Paris nights. This is Tina Leung’s photo diary from the haute couture fashion week in Paris.
"Haute couture is my favorite fashion week of all. The ante is upped with regards to every aspect: the shows, the events, the attendees; all set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Paris.
Vibrant blue skies set the tone for many of the looks, from Marco Zanini’s fantastical creations for Schiaparelli to Raf Simons' futuristic leap through the centuries at Dior to the pre-Raphaelite innocence seen at Valentino. The evenings continued with delish aperitifs in even more delish surroundings.
As Karl Lagerfeld once said, “There is something mythical about it that cannot be improvised,” and this season was no different."
LIKE A PRINCESS
Felt like a princess at the Bulgari cocktail, wearing a Rochas by Alessandro dell’Acqua gown, Bulgari bag and jewels.
The Dior Haute Couture show blew me away with the show divided into eight sections, each one jumping through a different century in time.
THE 'NOSE' OF DIOR
With the Dior girls, Fanny, Carol and the ‘nose’ of Dior parfums, their perfumer, François Demachy (left to right).
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI HAUTE COUTURE
The final few gowns at Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. The Valli girl is always so sumptuous, so elegant.
THE GOLDEN STAR
Hanneli and I goofing off at the J’Adore Dior cocktail and dinner with the golden star of the night.
STRIKE A POSE
After a couple of drinks, I seem to like to pose with inanimate objects… and also on top of cars and motorbikes. Don’t ask.
