Julia Frakes, Sasha Wilkins & Ruth Crilly, All Over Press
Style blogger and journalist Sasha Wilkins has carved out for herself a popular corner of the internet with her fashion and lifestyle blog Liberty London Girl, and now she has told us about her online favourites.
FRAKES ON PINTEREST
American writer, political science student, blogger (at Bunny Bisous) and model Julia Frakes has just the kind of magpie mind I admire. Her boards, which include Places & Spaces and Yearning for It, all have one thing in common: her eye for glorious photography.
FURY ON TWITTER
Alexander Fury, fashion editor of The Independent is possibly one of the best fashion writers of his generation, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of fashion history. Apart from that, he’s known for his trenchant views, and he always tells it how it is: his Twitter feeds will keep you up to date – and make you laugh.
One of my favourite blogs is written by Annabel Bird. She’s an interior designer who writes about London as she sees it: ruined churches in the city, her adorable new puppy Edward Lear, quirky places to eat and her burgeoning career. Annabel writes like a dream, takes a great photo, and has made her blog both charming and personal.
A MODEL RECOMMENDS ON YOUTUBE
I first met Ruth years ago when she came to see me on a go-see when she was modelling full-time, but now she is better known as beauty blogger A Model Recommends. Her YouTube channel is just as good: Ruth is funny, engaging, and an expert on all things beauty. I always trust her opinion.
William Gentle started his blog back in 2008 when he started to photograph people around his home in Brooklyn. He has a knack for stumbling across the most fascinating people and in addition to his excellent portraits, he asks them questions about what made them the person they are today. It’s a really lovely site.
