Get ready for some Seoul cool!
Colourful, confident and on-trend. Meet twins Qjin and Qwon – your new Korean style icons.
If you haven’t lived under a rock these past few years, you know that Seoul is fashion’s new capital of cool. From the latest sheet masks to K-pop stars and street style icons, Seoul is where we turn our gaze to find the newest new. And when it comes to style, Qjin and Qwon – the twins behind popular YouTube channel Q2Han – are a constant source of inspiration, with their colourful, personal and creative take on current trends. Catching up at Seoul fashion week, we asked Q2Han to select and style their favourite pieces from the latest H&M collection.
WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE?
”It’s a mix of laid-back and simple chic. It doesn't look too formal or too casual. We always have fun with dressing and always dress with confidence. Another style signature is that we constantly change hair colours. This year we’ve already changed hair colours four times. It’s also fun to see how the colours change as they gradually fade away. One great advantage about colourful hairstyles is that our Qtees – Qtees is what we call our followers – can easily spot us in a busy crowd.”
WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGNER?
”If we have to have to choose one designer, it would have to be the late Alexander McQueen – he was one of a kind. The stories and the emotions that he evoked through his runway shows were breathtaking. He was our go-to designer when searching for inspiration during our college years. His craftsmanship, intricate designs and creative approach to fashion will never be forgotten.”
We never leave the house without statement earrings.

WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?
”Chriselle Lim and Aimee Song, they are some of the most successful power bloggers in the fashion industry. We've been following them and looked up to them ever since they started out to where they are today. Aimee Song taught us how to dress feminine, yet be carefree and incorporate various colours and textures into an outfit. On the other hand, Chriselle Lim taught us how to dress like a lady boss and never forget to complete an outfit with hints of chicness.”
WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE ON EARTH?
”Our home office because that is where the magic happens! It's a place where we create DIYs, brainstorm ideas, film and edit videos. After a long day, what keep us motivated is sitting behind our own desks and reading the sweet comments that our Qtees left on our videos.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?
Recently we came back from a short trip to Singapore and ever since the trip we have been hunting for the perfect acai bowl in Seoul. We can easily eat acai bowls for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
IF YOU HAD TO LEAVE YOUR APARTMENT IN A HURRY, WHAT WOULD YOU GRAB?
”Our MacBook Pro and iMac. They have all the raw videos that haven't been edited yet, as well as our schedule plans, important documents and more.”
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO LOOK?
”We don't have a specific go-to look, but we never leave the house without statement earrings. We are always in search for bold and unique earrings.”
WHY IS FASHION IMPORTANT?
”Fashion is important to us because it's how we express ourselves. It's not simply a daily task of choosing what to wear for the day, but it speaks who we are as an individual. Fashion is such a huge part of our lives and without it, we're not sure where we'd be right now.”
IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN HISTORY, WHAT FASHION ERA WOULD YOU LIKE TO VISIT IN?
”We would love to visit and experience the fashion in the 18th century. We remember being so mesmerised by the haute couture of Marie Antoinette's era, which led us to watch and fall in love with the film Marie Antoinette starring Kirsten Dunst. The ostentatious gowns with colourful and majestic embroideries, the fitted corsets and the intricate ruffles with rich details are something that we would love to experience for ourselves!”
WHAT ITEM WOULD YOU NEVER PART FROM?
”Probably our phones. Social media is one of the essential tools for us to communicate and engage with our followers and it's mostly achieved via our phones.”
The right pair of shoes cannot only change the feel of an outfit, but also can affect your attitude and confidence.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD?
QWON: ”A news anchor. Maybe that's why I'm always in charge of the voiceovers for our videos today.”
QJIN: ”For me, I wanted to become a professor and teach students just like our dad. I've always looked up to him as a role model, and still do.”
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY FASHION PLEASURE?
”Shoes. We rarely spend money on clothing, but we definitely splurge on shoes. Our mum always taught us that shoes are the finishing touch to any outfit. The right pair of shoes cannot only change the feel of an outfit, but also can affect your attitude and confidence.”
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET?
”If we could ever get the chance, we would love to meet Chriselle Lim and Aimee Song in person. It would be a dream come true! They are our role models and we hope that in the future we can also build our own team and work with creating creative content for big brands in the fashion industry.”
WHAT DO YOU NEED RIGHT NOW?
”Plane tickets to Malaysia and Indonesia! Recently we held a Meet & Greet in Singapore and many of our Qtees are asking us to hold a Meet & Greet in Malaysia and Indonesia as well. We would love to meet them in person as well, so we're already planning our next trip to these countries. We also love travelling and experiencing new cultures with our mum, so it would be a great opportunity.”
WHAT IS YOUR LATEST BEAUTY DISCOVERY?
”Ground coffee beans mixed with coconut oil. It's a beauty method that our mum told us about and it's a great way to naturally exfoliate and hydrate your skin. It's been about a week since we've started using this method, and we can already notice a huge improvement in our skin complexion.”
