The clever way to update your ponytail
It might look intricate and edgy, but this tied-up ponytail is actually very easy.
Go on a treasure hunt to find all those ”lost” hair elastics (WHY do they keep disappearing and WHERE do they go?? One of mankind’s greatest mysteries.)
If you have very fine hair, it might be a good idea to prep your hair with some dry shampoo, to add some texture. Or use any texturising product you like.
Put up your hair in a high ponytail. Then take out a second hair elastic, repeating the same step – but this time, don’t pull your hair all the way through the elastic. Create a ”bubble” of hair instead (see gif above.) We chose white hair elastics for some drama.
Get a third hair elastic and tie it below the first – be careful not to mess up that first bubble you created – and make another ”bubble” of hair. (See gif 2.) Keep doing this until your arms are too tired. The hair bubbles can be of different sizes and shapes – be creative! We wanted a sleek look, but feel free to mess it up a little if you prefer a more boho chic look. Finish off with some The Works Session Hairspray.
