Ficus Lyrata - Fiddle Leaf Plant

The Ficus Lyrata has been one of the most popular houseplants for decades! The plant is easily recognizable by its large leaves. Because the leaves have a narrow underside and a wider end, the plant is also called the violin plant. When the leaves are dried, they can be used for the outside of cigars. That also explains the second nickname of the plant, which is the tobacco plant. Choose a spot out of reach of children and pets because the leaves are slightly toxic and when eaten they cause bumps on the skin. The Ficus Lyrata can grow up to 3 meters indoors!
