Camp Cali Girls: Meet Jordan

Model and vintage expert Jordan Rebello has the lifestyle of our dreams.

”To be happy – for me that is waking up in new surroundings. If you are in the same spot every day, seeing the same things, you don’t really grow as a person. You need to be out in nature, out in the world.

We lived in New York for a bit, but I felt I wanted the sun. I love going to the beach, going camping. We moved to Los Angles, got an RV – which was awesome. We’d just wake up in the morning, pick up and go somewhere. I always wanted that lifestyle, wanted an RV. When you’re camping, you learn to praise the little things. Experience everything; watching the birds fly over your head.”

”I grew up on Martha’s Vineyard, where [the film] Jaws was shot. And I was actually really afraid of sharks! When I moved to California I was like ‘yeah, there are definitely sharks here´. So I was a little hesitant to go out in the water. But I love surfing. You’re free, but you’re in control of the board and your next actions. When you finally get up on that board, everything washes over you and you’re just like ‘wow, this is so awesome’.”

”I love wearing just jeans and a t-shirt. My daughter always tells me that I need to wear more dresses – she wants me to be a princess! But I have always been a tomboy. I can’t help it! I love collecting vintage from the '60s and '70s, pieces that have a lot of history, worn with love.”

”Both my parents were born on Martha’s Vineyard. My mum is Native American and my dad is Portuguese. I am a registered Native American and so is my daughter. It has always been a big part of me. I have been modelling for three and a half years – I didn’t grow up wanting to be a model, I just kind of let it happen and it has been so much fun. I feel that right now brands are embracing people for who they are, which is really cool and I am happy to be a part of that.”

1. I wash my hair once a week, but I condition every time I take a shower.

2. Sometimes I put body lotion in my hair when it’s wet. Brand doesn’t matter, just pick a nice one! Coconut oil is good too.

3. I’ll brush my hair in the shower when it’s wet, and just let it air dry.
