Eco-friendly DIY Decorations

Nothing sets the tone for a great party like a perfectly decorated abode. Luckily, you don’t need to be wasteful or blow your budget to achieve your desired setting.

Keep it sustainable and budget friendly with these cute eco-friendly DIY decoration ideas that you can make with items lying around at home!

Nature’s Confetti

Simply purchase a few hole punchers and have a little fun creating cute shapes with the leaves and petals in your garden. Sprinkle over your grazing table, dance floor or throw in the air (like you just don’t care). You’ll be making colourful decorations and doing your spring garden pruning, all at once.

Upcycled Jars

Got a bunch of old mason jars lying around? Give them new life with a quick coat of DIY chalk paint, perfect for holding decorative blooms. Create your textured paint with 1 part baking soda, 2 parts paint and a dash of water. Mix, paint, dry and decorate - easy!

Edible Garlands

Use dried fruit to create a deliciously bright garland for your party. Simply take your favourite citrus fruits, slice thinly and bake on a tray for 4-6 hours at 180 degrees celsius or until they’re firm. Then, create a small hole in the centre and arrange them on a piece of string and hang around the room. The best part? The fruit doubles as a great drink garnish for guests.
