Tine Andrea is the new Scandi blogger you need to know
We are in love with this Norwegian’s eclectic style – see how Tine Andrea matches her H&M favourites.
Tine Andrea is a veteran on the Norwegian blog scene, but now she is starting to make waves on the international street style circuit. And if you ask us, we’re only in the beginning of Tine Andrea’s story. Her eclectic, always-on-trend-but-personal and sometimes quirky style is quickly gaining attention from all over the world.
We asked the blonde style icon to choose and style her current H&M favourites – the result is an inspiring mix of streetwear favourites, shiny textures and wardrobe classics.
WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGNER?
”On one hand I really love the work of designers like Admir Batlak, Mona Jensen (Tom Wood) and Ditte Reffstrup (Ganni), and on the other hand, I also love the work of the more well-known designers like Jacquemus, Rei Kawakubo, Johnny Coca and Raf Simons. So I guess I have quite a lot of favourite designers. I also get new ones every season.”
WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?
”I find it hard to pick my ultimate style icon, but some personalities who often inspire me are Blanca Miro (Spanish), Hanneli Mustaparta (Norwegian) and Jeanette Madsen (Danish). They all have very different styles and aesthetics so I gain different inspirational inputs from each one of them. I just love letting myself get inspired and surprised by various styles; I think that´s really important when working as a blogger as well. To show alternative ways when it comes to styling and the use of garments.”
WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE?
”It’s difficult to describe the one thing that really underlines my style. One day I could wear a hoodie with a pair of jeans and some kicks, the next day I’d go for a more up-dressed look with a shirt and maybe a skirt and heels.”
WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE ON EARTH?
”Except for my huge bed, or in front of my fridge – after my mum’s decided to fill it up! – I would say Copenhagen. So many great places and interesting areas to see. I’ll find myself walking around for hours, letting myself be intrigued by the architecture and the colours. The people are so friendly and charming. I feel so balanced when I’m there (and that’s not because of all the great raw food). And when we are talking about food, the Copenhagen Street Food market is definitely the place for great hangouts, cheesy atmosphere and amazing international food.”
Besides some Sriracha sauce for my fish tacos, I am really looking for a cool backpack.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?
”Ey, back to food! Got to be tacos. Like every kind there is. It’s so great when you can just put everything in there and it always tastes so good. It’s a life-saver on Mondays. And Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And maybe Fridays.”
IF YOU HAD TO LEAVE YOUR APARTMENT IN A HURRY, WHAT WOULD YOU GRAB?
”My dog, my MacBook, a beanie (just in case of a bad hair-day and the Norwegian outdoor temperature in general) and my house keys? Just in case I need to hurry back.”
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO LOOK?
”Jeans, a black knit and a coat of some kind. Why? Because it will save you when you wake up on Wednesday thinking it’s Monday. Or the other way around. It will work when you suddenly remember that meeting you have, and you have to look like you have been out doing important stuff instead of watching the latest episode of Westworld and eating crisps. And it will totally be a look to go for when you are meeting with your friends and you don’t know if you are going bowling or having tequila shots.”
WHY IS FASHION IMPORTANT?
”Because it makes it easier to express yourself in many ways. It helps you create stories and tell them without words. And it makes your day slightly more creative and interesting.”
IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN HISTORY, WHAT FASHION ERA WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE IN?
”The 80s. Not only because I could have a mullet and get away with it, and not only would everything I wore look like premature (or ancestral) Vetemênts, but I could also sport fierce leather jackets and jeans, looking like anyone from Top Gun (including Mr. Cruise), and that’s pretty…Top. But besides the dramatic points of view, it was also a time when you dressed like the music you listened to and nobody would judge if you wore tights…and leggings. Do I need to say more?”
WHAT ITEM WOULD YOU NEVER PART FROM?
”My Tom Wood ring. Actually it has almost become a part of my finger now. And does my coffee maker count?”
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY FASHION PLEASURE?
”Oh, that’s got to be colourful socks with weird prints or patterns on them. So much fun, especially whilst wearing head-to-toe. Even though they sometimes never show in my outfit-posts, they are there to brighten up my day a little when I get home. It’s like being a 12-year-old all over again.”
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET?
”Alive? Michel Gaubert. He seems like a really funny dude. Love his Instagram. Dead? 2pac. If he really is dead, something smells fishy. (And it´s not my fish tacos.) Fantasy figure? Yoda. He seems to have the answer to everything."
WHAT DO YOU NEED RIGHT NOW?
”Besides some Sriracha sauce for my fish tacos, I am really looking for a cool backpack. Ideas will be rewarded.”
