Camille Charrière debuts H&M Studio at LFW
The French blogger and style icon wore must-have pieces from the hotly anticipated collection during London Fashion Week.
First comes New York, then comes London Fashion Week. After days packed with shows, parties and, well, work, French influencer Camille Charrière is already headed to Milan for the next leg on the fashion month circuit. Before flying out she met up with photographer Sandra Semburg, wearing her favourite items from H&M Studio SS18.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE H&M STUDIO COLLECTION?
"It’s great! Wearable, affordable pieces that can be mixed and matched in with so much of my own wardrobe. I like that H&M are taking an increasing interest in sustainability."
HOW WOULD YOU COMPARE LONDON TO OTHER FASHION WEEKS?
"Each of the fashion weeks has such a distinctive vibe. London is a hub of the world’s finest creativity."
YOU’RE FROM PARIS BUT HAVE BEEN LONDON-BASED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WHAT MADE YOU MOVE TO THE UK? WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO?
"I did that thing that friends tell you not to do – I moved for a guy but fell in love with the city. The biggest differences... the food, the fashion, the lifestyle."
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO IN THE CITY?
"Eat, drink and be merry. Visit galleries, wander down Portobello Road."
HOW DO YOU PREP FOR A FULL DAY OF SHOWS? WHAT ARE YOUR EARLY MORNING ROUTINES?
"A breakfast of champions sets me up for a day of shows. Good, simple skincare products keep my skin looking fresh and knowing what I’m going to wear the night before gives me 10 minutes extra in bed."
WHAT NEW SEASON TRENDS ARE YOU EAGER TO TRY?
"I’m not so trend led. I like clashing patterns, utilitarian pieces but am happy to mix and match with what I have in my wardrobe already."
WHAT'S THE WILDEST FASHION WEEK PARTY YOU'VE EVER ATTENDED?
"The ball that Dior hosted this year during couture week was spectacular – designed by the one and only Alex de Betak – a genius! I was also lucky enough to sit next to Christopher Waltz at the amfAR which was a dream come true too."
WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST FASHION WEEK FAUX PAS?
"Not wearing enough layers!"
HOW WILL YOU UNWIND WHEN FASHION MONTH WRAPS?
"I plan on being at home in London, catching up with friends. It won’t be long before I’ll be off again!"
H&M Studio SS18 will be presented in full at Paris Fashion Week on 28 February.
