Calathea Marion

The Calathea Marion is a very striking plant with beautiful white markings in the dark and light green leaves. The underside of the leaves is beautifully colored red. The Calathea originates from tropical areas in America such as Brazil and Columbia. Its nickname is also 'the Living Plant' since the Calathea closes its leaves during the night, and re-opens every morning. Calathea's also bring clean air! In your home, significant amounts of harmful gas particles are captured by the leaves of this plant and they give oxygen in return!
