Cigarette trousers

Great pants but extremely disappointed with the odd sizing. I have these pants in the brown checkered pattern in, a size 10 my size varies usually from size 4 to sometimes 6.i first ordered the slacks in a size 10 because that's what my other pair is and it was HUGE so then I size down to 6 using my $10 voucher because I'm confident they couldn't be that different from my others (meaning a 4). Got my size 6 and they are still big. The waist band gapes. I then confirm I have a size 10 in the same slacks but different pattern. That is correct. I try them on again to ensure I didn't lose a ton, no they fit like a glove.. I am extremely disappointed that's the sizing varies 3 sizes at least form pattern/color. It's extremely difficult to even guess what size I'd be. I will order a size 4 next but shame, shame H&M. I wasted a $10 voucher on this pair and my size is likely sold out again. I haven't been this dissatisfied in a long time. I love their clothing but this pair of slack's sizing is way out to lunch and the shipping took way longer than usual. I don't even know how to give a proper review on size and fit. Maybe the black fit true to size, perhaps each pattern/color fit vastly different or perhaps they were labelled wrong. Don't assume these will fit if your needing a pant for a certain date, it may take time to find your size!!!!

Great trousers but very tight. I am usually size 12, I bought the size 14 they are still a little tight around the waist, they are ok on the bum, (I have ample) and quite tight on thighs, mine are not the slimmest thighs, but normally a 12 is absolutely fine. They do have a bit of stretch so I can wear the 14 with a loose fitting top. They look great. I think if I lose a few kilos they will be perfect. I think a 16 would be too large. I have the pale beige check. The fabric is slightly textured and is really nice. I also have the beige which are even tighter. I think itsxtrial and error with the different colours I would recommend trying several sizes, because once you get the right fit, they are really flattering. For small people (I am 5'1")the leg length is perfect, so for once I am happy with H&M trousers :)

Love these trousers - they are perfect! This is the second pair that I have ordered now, as I wear them everyday for work. I spent months and months trying to find the perfect, slim fitting smart trousers, as I struggle being quite tall and of a slim build. These are very nearly perfect - slim fitting in the leg, and perfect on the waist, thanks to the elastic hidden inside. My only issue personally is with the length - hence 4 stars not 5. I am tall, and these are a bit shorter on the leg than I'd like, but I have this trouble with H&M trousers as they don't currently offer a longer length. Not a major problem, just down to my height and personal preference of having them a bit longer! Other than than, I would definitely recommend these!

The quality of these trousers are spot on. But I did find the beige trousers to be little bit more tighter than the rest of the colours. I have both the navy blue and black trousers as a a size 12 (I have quite large hips and thighs) and it is true to size, but the beige trousers for some reason are a lot tighter around the waist. Hence I recommmend sizing up for the beige ones. The colour doesn't look like the picture where there is the trousers only depicted. In real life the colour is very muted, if you search "barely beige" on the internet and go to see the images it looks more like that then what the picture depicts it to be. The length tho is spot on

So this was weird I got these online didn't fit as I got the next size up after seeing everyone's review I normally fit in to 14-16 so bought these didn't fit. So went into the shop to return picked up another pair completely forgetting the name of the ones I returned funny enough went and tried them on exact same trousers assuming their different pair anyway tried it on and thought oh wow these are nice and they fit same size too 18. So took them to till returned the other and asked if these are the same and it was and I bought it. But what happened so strange anyway glad they fit now!!

I bought these trousers about 1.5-2 years ago and I've been so in love with them ! Perfect length and nice material. Even bearable to wear for work at 28 degrees. They have recently started to wear out so I ordered a new pair, size down. There's such a huge gap between sizes ! My old 8 is loose on me so I felt like I needed to size down, new 6 I can't even zip up ! And the material/country of manufacture has changed for worse. It's only 1% less cotton towards polyester but the feel is not the same anymore. Old were nice and soft from the beginning, newer are more rough.

These fit very small. I have a small waist about a size 8 and wider hips size 10 so finding pants that fit is hard. I read reviews saying to size up and would definitely recommend to do so i am between 8/10 and got a 12 and i'm so glad i did i could've even gone for a 14 for a baggier fit. These pants are fitted and are slim straight leg after the knee. They are good quality and have slight stretch in them. The length is perfect i always find pants too short or too long but these stop right at my ankle! I am the top end of 5'6. Perfect for work.

I am usually a 12 in trousers but sized up to a 14 after reading previous reviews. First of all I'm happy that they fit my thick thighs and hips. The only problem with sizing up is that the waist bags at the back but nothing that s belt can't fix. They are tight but not like squeezing your legs when you sit down tight. A bit of excess material around the crotch but better than being too tight there! They have some stretch which makes them comfortable. If you usually have trouble finding trousers that are stylish and fit; choose these!

I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm a size 18/20 depending on outlet, so I bought a 20 which I've bought with no problems from H & M previously. When they arrived I couldn't even get close to doing them up. I compared them to a pair of size 20 H & M trousers I already have and they were around 2 inches smaller all round. They were returned and a size 22 ordered. The size 22 has now arrived and they are so small - although I can just do them up - I won't be able to wear them, so they'll be going back too.

Love! I'm a 10/12. Normally a 10 really in pretty much everything but after reading reviews and know h and m run small, bought a 12. Absolutely love the fit, they look really professional and are so comfortable. I like the secret elastic at the back. I hate trousers where you can see the elastic, they just don't look smart but these guys with their secret elastic are amazing. Super comfy and an alright length. I'm 5'9 and they came just above the ankle but not mid shin as some trousers do!
