May be a tiny bit on the big size. My 7 year old has the 6-8 y size and the next size down and the 6-8 y size is a bit loose. He prefers the smaller fit, hopefully he'll fill out in the next few months before summer and he can wear the 6-8y then.

My son loves his new swim shorts although they are the third pair I've bough. He is 7 and 4-6 and 6-8 were far too big so sized down to 2-4 and they still had room to grow. Lovely shorts but size down!!

My 7yr old son loves Hot Wheels race cars. Super cool swim shorts. I got him a bigger size but it has a draw string to tighten them if he needs too.

Look and feel is excellent but I feel like the fabric is waaay thinner than expected and time only can tell if it will hold up.

The look, quality and feel are all above average. The draw string is an added plus for waist size adjustment.
