I sized up to a 14 given how off HM sizing can be. Having read soooo many reviews on different trousers and jeans it's pretty clear there's a trend: sizes 4-10 generally true to size, sizes 12+ way off and usually 2 sizes too small. So if I can spot it then surely HM should too... Otherwise the shape suits me. Body type is always an issue with HM trousers. I'm 5'4 and athletic - measurement on bust, waist and hips barely any difference, slim thighs, this is generally why I look slimmer than sizing would dictate, waist is a larger size but this is by bone structure/width (HM dresses I have to get small/medium, usually true to size). All to say, great for a more boyish figure, really thick denim which I love as feels good quality that will last 🙂
