I am a regular size 14 but at the waist they would not even come close to doing up. They seemed like a size 10. I had a 4 inch gap. Leg and length were fine. The waist not. I returned them the next day. I guess your sizes run small. And are not true to size. You sizes are probably European.

My normal size 4 was too small and too short. I returned them and bought size 6 which fits perfectly. I like them. Very festive pants.
