Patterned maxi dress

Gorgeous dress, perfect for any number of events I have coming up. Sizewise, the reviews are true: the outer dress is big (I'm a L, ordered a M and frankly it's still a little oversized) and while I didn't expect to fit into the inner dress, I'd have cut it out even if I did - it's a cheap feeling fabric with no stretch. You're better off teaming with a better quality black slip dress, wearing tights or cycling shorts (weather depending) or simply saying sod it and letting everyone see a bit of your pants/bra or whatever. Who cares? We've all got bodies! I'm a 5'7 size 16 with a massive rack, if it helps anyone with sizing. I have to pull the waist drawstring almost to its limit to get it to show my waist, so when I do wear it I'll likely team it with a thin gold belt.

This dress is awkward…. I ordered a L which is my normal size at H&M for a 16-18. The under layer dress is tiny and wouldn't even fit a size 10. The outer glitter layer is humungous, it can be pulled it tighter by the draw strings but is still huge…. Realistically for the outer layer I would need a small or medium… I'm going to keep it and make the outer layer work, but the under dress is getting binned and I'm going to have to find something to wear underneath, come on H&M make it make it sense…..

So disappointed with this dress. There is a big discrepancy in the size of the dress compared to the under slip. I bought a large and the slip was skin tight. If I sat down it would have split at the seams. The dress fit more like an oversized XXL. The fabric, despite being viscose was very itchy. Sadly, it is going back.

Great look for the party season and not massively oversized as I feared. Strangely tight lining though and metallic fibres make the material itchy, especially at my neck. Replacing the lining with a long sleeved body on jersey dress to avoid itch and being cold!

I sized down to an xl and it's perfect. the inside slip is more like a M but I had slips from other h and m dresses so that wasn't a problem. It's beautiful on, flattering, perfect maxi length for 5'7, beautiful sleeves. I didn't find the material scratchy.

Pretty but too many ties to tie up at the front of the dress. Not very clear from the photos. Not very comfortable to wear. Kept it as bought in sale and will have to adjust it in some way.

Gorgeous. Looks beautiful and expensive. The slip inside is horrible though and I threw it away. Fabric is thick enough without it, if you wear a cami or thin rollnwck and tights underneath

The under slip was too tight and the outer dress was better in the fit but just was too big and although 40 percent off was still too much for the dress in my opinion.

The inside slip is horrific but thanks I can cut it out and I have the older version of this dress from a few years ago with a stretchy slip - otherwise lovely

As others have said, the slip under the dress is tiny! Dress itself is very nice but massively over sized & fabric itchy against skin
