Love these! I am a true US7 so I wear between a 4 and 5 UK size, so it's always a bit tricky with H&M shoes/boots, especially if they aren't real leather (which will stretch and conform to the foot more nicely). I went with the 5 in these to err on the safe side and also so I could fit some thicker socks in them for fall/winter. I'm petite and always find combat or lace-up boots look at odds with the rest of me, but these are sort of a nice alternative for me when I want a bit of an edgier looking boot. I also wanted something that came up a bit higher on the ankle to either tuck skinny jeans into or which would work with a lot of the more ankle length straight and barrel leg jeans I've been into lately. The square toe isn't too square and stubby, but also not crazy elongated where it looks like you're wearing 2 size up, and it has a bit of a taper to it which I prefer over straight up square. I didn't find them hard to get on/off, but being between sizes the 5 I went with offers a bit of extra room all over. But I have slim ankles, so that being said, I would say the shafts probably run a bit on the narrow side. They feel sturdy but not so much so that they will bruise your big toe joint as the toe box bends when you walk in them (if you know, you know). Look much more expensive than they are and managed to get them on sale. Didn't even consider them when shopping online until I saw them in store, so I would say they are even better in person. A nice sleek profile without being too dressy. Not a chunky, clunky boot like a lot of the styles that have been out the past few years.
