RETURNS
Returns are free and easy, select the best option for you then follow the instructions below.
Over the festive period you will have until January 31st 2024 to return your purchases.
This applied to all orders placed between 14th October 2023 until the 25th December 2023.
Excludes purchases of Rabanne H&M Collection, Beards & Daisies, black+blum, Fifty Five South, houseof, Interiors by Premier, Postery & William Morris Gallery.
We are happy to refund any unsuitable items returned within 28 days, provided they are unworn, unwashed and in a resalable condition.
To return your parcel, please visit the Anpost website to receive a free returns label. You can to drop your parcel off at your local post office or arrange a courier collection.
- All our parcels contain a return form to use when you send items back.
- Fill in the form using the code that best explains the reason for your return
- Place this, together with the item(s) you wish to return in the parcel your order arrived in.
- If you have lost your return form, you can print it here.
- You can return more than one order or parcel at once, providing that you include all relevant returns notes in the parcel.
All furniture and lighting must be returned in the original packaging. For hygiene and safety reasons, we can only accept returns of Beauty items if the product is unopened.
Drop off - free
Once you have booked your drop off return you will receive an email from AnPost with the free returns label. You can print this at home or at an An-post store by showing the cashier the barcode in your email.
Courier Collection -free
Once you have booked your home collection on your chosen date, the courier collecting the parcel will bring a free returns label with them. Collections can be booked up to 2 working days in advance.
Return in store - free
H&M HOME items cannot be returned in store.
To return your online purchases in store, just bring your delivery note, along with the item(s) you wish to return to the store.
You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for purchase or you can make an exchange if you paid by credit card, gift card or a combination of the two.
Exceptions:
Please note that our Return policy may differ for Designer and Special collections and H&M HOME items cannot be returned in store. Items purchased in store must be returned to store. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that incorrect orders, such as missing or incorrect items cannot be returned in our stores and must be returned for free via courier or drop off point. However, you are welcome to return any faulty items purchased online in our stores.
A small number of products cannot be returned to store, should you try to return one of these items, our store staff will support you in other ways to place your return.
If you would like to return an item you purchased with Klarna, you can pause your payment through the report return function. Go to My account, Payments H&M x Klarna to report your return.
Please note, if your Klarna order arrived in more than one parcel we recommend you to return the whole order in one parcel, including all return notes. This will be both easier for you and better for our environment.
As soon as your return is processed, you'll receive an updated statement from Klarna. Klarna will then take the remaining payments from your card, according to schedule.
If you've already paid for the returned items, Klarna will refund you on the card used for your purchase.
For any questions relating to your refund payment, please contact Klarna directly. For anything related to your returned parcel, please contact H&M customer service.
H&M are happy to refund within 28 days for any unsuitable items, provided they are in resalable condition.
If you are unable to go back to the original store you made your purchase in you can return to another H&M store in Ireland.

Once we have received your return shipment in our warehouse, we will send you a notice of cancellation via email, confirming receipt of the parcel.
If you chose to return in store, your store receipt will be your proof of return and no email confirmation will be sent.We will provide a refund using the same method used to make the payment within 14 days of receiving your notice of cancellation, provided we have received the item or evidence of you having sent back the item.
Returns made via courier:
- You will be refunded to the same payment method you used to make the purchase.
- Please allow up to 14 days for your refund to be issued.
- Your delivery fee will be refunded if you return all items in your order.
- Once we have processed your return in our warehouse, we will send you an email as notice of cancellation.
If you have not received your return email after 14 days, please contact us with your order number and our team will be happy to help!
Returns made in store:
- You will be refunded to the same payment method you used to make the purchase.
- Your store receipt will be your proof of return and no email confirmation will be sent.
Refunds to Gift Cards:
- If you return items paid for by H&M Gift Card you will be issued an e-gift card with an updated balance via email.
- If you used a combination of payment methods, you will be refunded to your debit/credit card, Klarna or PayPal first then the remainder will be be issued as an e-gift card.
- Example: If you have ordered items for €40 and paid €20 with a gift card and €20 with a credit card and later return items to a value of €30, you will receive €20 to the credit card you used at purchase and the remaining €10 will be issued as a new e-gift card
- All the necessary parts for your H&M HOME items should be included in the parcel, so if they are not we are here to help.

Right of Withdrawal:
You always have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days, without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is counted from the day of the delivery of the last good(s) in your order. The easiest way to exercise your right of withdrawal is to simply fill in the return form attached in your parcel and return the goods to us, using the pre-paid return label we have provided you with. You will find the instructions on how to do this on the delivery note in your parcel.
However, to meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to let us know about your decision to withdraw from your order, before the withdrawal period has expired. For questions regarding withdrawal, please contact Customer Service.
Effects of withdrawal;
We will refund all payments received from you, including the costs of our standard delivery option, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment that you used to pay for your order and this will not cause you any extra fees. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 28 days from the day on which you received your item(s). All our parcels contain a pre-paid return label for you to use when you send the items back. If you want us to pick up your parcel at home; please see instructions on the delivery note and at hm.com.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
