The dress itself is really lovely- the material is a medium in terms of weight (seems like it won't just dance away with every small gust of wind) and the stitching details are really well done (like on the shoulder area to make way for a nice slightly-structured balloon sleeve). However, the fit of the dress was poor on me. For reference I'm roughly 5'3 and 50kg and purchased XS. The dress was a couple inches too short of a maxi length (expected from the photos tbh so cannot fault it for that) and whilst the top part of the dress was nice and giving (in part to the relaxed feel of the balloon sleeves) the bottom part of the dress lacked that extra material to give it a more full a line flow. In the end, when I had the belt on, the dress looked quite flowing on the top half and more stiff and touch too close fitting on the lower half. Removing the belt made it less awkward but not the style I would wear it in. Such a shame because a really lovely dress otherwise. I'm considering sizing up and getting it tailored to fit right but the price tag and the fact it'll still be just awkwardly shy of a maxi length is making me wait on such a decision.
