I bought this dress in a medium and a small because I would normally take a small in H&M but the sizing recommendation was for a medium. My measurements however, fell at the top of the scale for small and the bottom of the medium scale. H&M's recommendation was accurate. The medium was spot on for me and the dress fits as it does on the model with a tulip shape to the skirt ie not hugging the hips. For reference, I'm a 34D bust, a 29" waist and 39" hips. Despite the reviews indicating that this dress comes up large, I would say, it comes up small. The small was quite narrow. The model pictures look to be accurate. No pinning or tucking going on there. I've reviewed my purchase as "spot on" based on the size H&M recommended. The length is as described ie calf length...quite long. I bought this is dress in black and in red. Although the detail is more visible in the red, the black fabric has a more visible, subtle sheen, which is lovely. This dress is an absolute steal in the sale. Can't wait to wear it.
