Denim Bermuda shorts

I'm 5'2" and 48 kg, and I bought a UK 8. I have wider hips with a relatively normal waist, and I do believe these bermudas are running true to size in this colour. Because of my wider hips, the UK 8 is more fitted around the hips, while remaining relaxed everywhere else. I also found a UK 10 in the shop and bought those as well, but I have to admit that the only noticeable difference for me is the waist. The UK 10 is too large around my waist, with some extra material hanging in that area. They are also slightly longer, going over the knees, whereas the UK 8 ends nicely just above the knees. The UK 10 does give a little more room around the thighs, but not enough to make a huge difference. Overall, even though the UK 8 is more fitted around my hips, I will be keeping that size. I wouldn't suggest sizing up, as the cut and structure of these bermudas don't really allow for much benefit from going a size up. The larger waist and extra length of the UK 10 are more noticeable than the additional room around the hips and thighs. Hope this is helpful!

Ok so I bought these in the dark denim blue and the light denim and really like them. For reference I'm usually size 12 but I bought both in a size 14 because I wanted a looser fit. The 14 in the dark denim blue is loose and oversized, but the 14 light fit me like I'd expect a 12. I probably could have gone with a 16 if I wanted them to fit like the dark 14. So in general I'd size up at least one size in the light denim to fit. But if you want an oversized fit in the light size up twice- and in the darker- size up once or for perfect fit I'd assume to try your TTS. :)

Had to return and size up (got 6 in the end not my usual 4), but this is a perfect pair of shorts for those of us ladies with beautiful wider hips. As they are roomy, leaving air between the fabric and thighs and so give you a nice flattering look. Length is good too (I'm average height), longer would make you look short, but this is just a bit above the knee. Long enough to be comfy but stops just at the right place. Good color selection too, darker denim has that more put-together look.

I bought these in the blue and cream and sized up in both for a more relaxed fit. They are very different, even with different fastenings. The blue have button and zip and came up really big. The cream had all buttons and were a perfect fit! The material is good. Very lightweight denim but the colour of the blue denim looked abit on the cheap side. I couldn't wear them low wasted as the crotch looked saggy.

I debated the size after reading reviews and went up a size to a size 12, when I measured over my existing size 10 denim shorts the waist band is same size. These fit just like a size 10, so not overly loose if that is the look you want then you'll need to go two sizes up. I have long legs these hit well above the knee for me, I really like the tailored look of these shorts.

Omg what is going on with these sizes. Bought originally in washed black. Im normally an 18 had to size up to a 22 and they still didn't fit. So tried my luck with the brown ordered a 24 (I know what was I thinking) as clearly sizing was off on my original purchase. You could fit 2 of me in the brown 24 now my size is out of stock. Sort it out H&M please.

I bought these shorts in the dark blue, size 12, and they were a perfect fit. I loved the leopard and faded blue ones, so ordered the same size in both, and was disappointed to discover the sizing is way off in both colours! They're more like a size 8-10! I love the leopard ones so have re-ordered ina size up to a 14, hoping they'll fit better!

Love these. Perfect knee length shorts that are nice and wide in the leg. Very lightweight. I sized up for a relaxed fit but could of easily bought my usual size and still be comfy. Look great with a cropped tee or vest. Don't think these are the same as the blue as they fit totally different. I sent the blue back for being too big.

Love these shorts, the pattern is great and they are such good value. Size wise I am in the 14/16 range but as there wasn't a size 14 available in my local H&M I went straight for the size 16 and found it a bit of a squeeze. So I went and ordered an 18 and loved the looser fit and look so size up is my recommendation.
