It is a dark burgundy.......think of a really good cab Sauvignon wine. The sweater is very soft. I normally wear a small and this wasn't tight but it was not baggy either

A little large so I would size down. Material is quite thin and doesn't feel like very good quality. It's also more purple than burgundy.
