Calling all changemakers

Get your kids ready to change the world with us! With support from H&M, KidsRights has launched a new online tool to engage and educate kids about children’s rights and help them get involved in important topics.

Join the movement — start a movement

Kids are creative, imaginative, and not held back by doubt. Kids make change happen. But sometimes, they need a little helping hand in making their visions and dreams come to life. Through fun games and engaging content, the new platform will enable kids between 6–12 years old to practice skills and learn about children’s rights, equality, sustainability, and more. The tool empowers kids to grow individually and connect with other changemakers across the world. KidsRights has previously worked with different programs for older kids, but with support from H&M, now been able to develop the new platform for younger kids as well.

Bring change into play

But the online tool is not only a platform for play and learning (although we love that!); it also offers several offline challenges that invite kids to create change in real life. Once all online challenges and activities are completed, there is an opportunity to continue the journey on KidsRight’s State of the Youth platform and enroll in the Changemaker program. State of the Youth is a non-political, non-religious digital state where kids can get informed and take action against pressing issues around the world.

KidsRights for kids’ rights

KidsRights has long worked to support kids and provide guidance and resources to realize and scale up their initiatives. They founded the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize, which awards kids who courageously fight for children’s rights. As the international non-governmental organisation continues to strive for children’s rights worldwide, this new platform is another amazing tool to get kids informed and engaged in topics that are not only essential for them, but for the entire world.

Reviving Role Models

H&M shares KidsRights’ vision that kids are changemakers. Simply put — kids are role models. Acknowledging that the brand's position and influence could provide resources and support to help kids turn their positive ambitions into reality, the project RoleModels was born. Role Models is an initiative that enables young changemakers to share their stories, inspire others — and make a difference. H&M is now proud to have teamed up with KidsRights to expand the work and continue supporting all young role models out there.

“We’re excited to be collaborating with the KidsRights Foundation. It’s a wonderful continuation of the journey of H&M’s RoleModels initiative, where we focus on truly enabling all changemakers in the world. Instead of just talking about the future, we want to support kids’ efforts with a learning platform — because you’re never too little to dream big and change the world,” says Karin Brinck, Head of Sustainability, H&M Kids.

Passion for progress

Embracing diversity and equality is part of the H&M brand DNA. We were the first to revolutionise the fashion industry by democratising high-end garments, making them accessible and affordable to the public. Now, we’re setting industry standards by making more sustainable fashion available to all, starting with those who will inherit the future.
