Christmas Poster

White Blooms hangs a painted branch across a soft silver-grey ground, deep green leaves above and long wine-red stems trailing small white bell flowers below. Rust-red blossoms gather in the upper corner and give the whole thing a seasonal warmth without ever becoming literal. The palette sits between fir green, oxblood and pale grey, which makes it easy to live with well past December. Brushwork is visible throughout and gives the surface a worked, painterly quality. Good above a sideboard or a chair, in a room where you want something botanical that still feels considered.
