Winterwear
Not too hot, not too cold, but just right. That’s the goal when dressing your baby for unpredictable winter weather. A good tip is to dress them in one extra layer than you wear yourself (check their body temperature for overheating) and keep a range of different gear on standby.
Prepare for winter wherever you are with everything from lighter layers to fully functional outerwear.
Layering
It’s good to have various layers to hand, like cotton cardigans and thicker knits — with bodysuits as a base layer. For cold days, merino wool sets are great to wear under snowsuits.
Trousers
Leggings are ideal for warmer days or to wear comfortably under outerwear. Joggers or jeans work when it’s mild, while corduroy, pile and fleece-lined trousers offer more warmth.
Outerwear
Depending on the temperature, keep your little one snug and comfortable with everything from fleece jackets, puffers and winter coats to padded snowsuits with fold-over mitts and feet.
Accessories
Knitted or water-repellent hats and mittens are good go-tos. Fleece-lined balaclavas help shield your baby’s face from the wind, while polo neck warmers are like wearable baby scarves. Stay snug!
