I followed the reviews saying to size down as they come up large but had to send them back as I found they came up too small around the waist for my toddler - who is slim. I then went for the correct size and found that it was a much better fit around the waist but they are definitely a loose fitting short everywhere else and don't fit as I would have liked - are quite baggy. Fine for at home though. I Probably wouldn't buy these again. H&M do have better alternative shorts.
