The material quality of the jacket is great, it feels very durable. I wouldn't describe the outer surface as waxed but slick and tightly woven. The color is also more dark brown than dark green. My only issue is the stand up collar and strap aren't very functional. The jacket only works with the collar folded down as in the pic. When folded up the strap isn't long enough for it to fasten around the neck comfortably, it's too tight and awkward, you'd never use it. It would have been useful and cool if the collar and belt actually worked.
