H&M sizes are all over the place. There's no consistency across jeans of similar kind even.
thanks to the comments posted, I opted for size 36 (waist b/w 31-32 measured around the navel) instead of size 34. BUT EVEN 36 is a bit tight, making it a bit uncomfortable to breathe and walk and sit with legs crossed effortlessly. Clothes esp bottomwear shouldn't remind you constantly that you need to take something off in order to be at ease.
Thinking of returning it for size 38.

the fit is exactly how i imagined it to be. it is very comfortable and the the material is very soft and breathable. a very comfortable paire of jeans that can be styled to pull off any look. i am very happy with this purchase. just one request to h&m , please please restock your linen shirts and trousers in all sizes again please! your linen collection is fabulous and i really want to grab a few of them. please please restock the shirts and trousers !

I am a short and petite person with a height of around 5'1. I generally order a size 34, but read the comments and sized up to 36, and the jeans fit me like a glove. Surprisingly, the length of the jeans is not at all long, which is a plus for me since I won't have to alter it , but it might be short for the tall girlies. I personally loved them! Will order more in different colours.

I recently purchased a pair of jeans but unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations. The jeans were too short, and I found the fit to be quite uncomfortable. Despite trying a larger size, they still didn't work well and I had no choice but to return them. Even though I was hoping for a good experience, the poor fit and uncomfortable feel made it impossible for me to keep them.

Everytime I order my size either the length is an issue or the way sizes differ every order is crazy. I always thought H&M had its standard on jeans but everytime size is an issue even if I order my size. Please be consistent on the sizes . Disappointed.

Perfect jeans .... But it's slightly tight , at first I brought 38, which is my actual size of H&M ... But unfortunately it was tight , then I brought size 40 . Which is ok ... I like this white jeans . If u want to buy then take one size up

My size is 42 in normal waist but I buy 44 if it's a high waist, but this jeans I had to buy 46 because 44 was tight on me and all my previous purchases of high waist are 44 and only this is 46 🤷♀️
