Fine Knit Cashmere Sweater

H&M it’s time for a little heart to heart. When I first saw this cashmere jumper on the US site a few months ago, I fell hard. Every time I checked the New Arrivals section on the Australian website, I held my breath in anticipation of its arrival. Unfortunately, I’m writing this review as I reluctantly return the cashmere jumper I couldn’t wait to own. Even though it’s beautifully soft and the colour is divine, it’s just too oversized for me (I’m a size 8 and I purchased an XS) I’ve already acquired 2 jumpers with a relaxed silhouette from the premium collection this season and … I adore them. However, I don’t want my entire Winter wardrobe to be so oversized that all my sleeves are hanging well below my fingertips and my jumper hems are headed south towards my knees. Please H&M, there are so many lovely looking knits and coats in the premium collection that I would love to own, but when I see the model in the photograph is 5”10 and she’s already swimming in the outfit, I pout mt lips in disappointment and keep scrolling. If you’ve made it to the end of my sob story review, I’m guessing that means you’re a tad tired of the oversized trend too? Either way, this really is a lovely soft, light weight cashmere jumper. If you’re looking for an oversized fit, you’ll be happy, if not, size down.

Perfect jumper! Having bought the navy in a small and worn it non-stop, I needed a slightly shorter version to go with high waist combats . While kicking myself for missing the 25pc off sale price, I went ahead and bought the black version (XS, for reference I’m a size 10 so usually a small). Even at full price this is a great purchase - so soft and warm - love the flattering shape which dips slightly at the back and long wide arms. Also, unlike some H&M knitwear it doesn’t bobble too easily and looks brand new after a quick session with the debobbler. H&M please keep doing this one, I’d love a camel version one day..

The cashmere quality & knit construction is very good for H&M pricing! It’s just hard to see the fit on the model and the exact colour. It’s more of a boxy fit that hits me below the waist & even though the arms are quite long like some previous comments mentioned, I love longer sleeves. The red colour is not quite as bright as I wanted, it’s a tomato red so orange tint, but it’s a bit muted, maybe due to dyeing cashmere wool vs lambs wool. But the thickness of the crew neck ribbing is high quality! Just the colour & fit is not what I wanted so will be returning.

These cashmere jumpers are the best anywhere! I have had the navy and black version for a year or so and worn almost non stop with no bobbles or look of wear and tear. They're a lovely shape, going down slightly at the back, a far cooler cut than the M&S or Uniqlo version. I noticed the price has gone up this year which is understandable so pounced on the grey once it was on sale. It looks and feels great, really happy to add to my collection. They come up quite large btw so no need to size up for a slouchy look.

Soft and cosy. I'm a small but usually order a medium in jumpers for an oversized fit. I ordered small in this and it is still rather loose. I have a large bust so the front of it ended up being a little shorter than I would like, but I still love the colour and it feels super nice. I think the medium would have been too loose in the sleeves and chest though. It's not as thick as another cashmere jumper I have which is a nice thing, it's warm but not too hot and really light to wear.

Love this jumper, the soft sage green is perfect for my pale skin tone and blonde hair. I agree with others that it could be a little longer in the body at the front (I’m 5ft 9) but actually it’s compensated by the fabulous exaggerated long sleeve. I take a UK 8/10 and bought a S which is definitely still slightly oversized, if I’d gone any bigger it would have looked massive. Very happy.

Very strange oversized shape. I ordered my a usual XS and it is very very wide, with extreme drop shoulders and long sleeves. However the length is perfect. I would not have kept the sweater to wear by itself, I am keeping it to wear as a matching set with the joggers. I will make it work. If it wasn’t for the joggers, the would be a return. The cashmere is lovely, but the fit is off.

I bought a very similar cashmere jumper from H&M a year or two ago and the quality of these new ones is NOT as good. They look a little creased and are not as soft. generally, the quality of your jumpers, apart from the cable knit from Arket, is not as good as a couple of years ago. Also, your sizing is less generous. So all in all, less jumper, lower quality and more expensive???

This was 30% off and I got an additional 20% off student discount. So pleased I got cashmere at such a bargain, I'm positive this will last me a very long time. It's soft and warm, but not too thick. I absolutely love this, paired with a crisp white t shirt underneath. I'm a size 14 and got the medium which was an oversized fit. I love the wide sleeves. Just chef's kiss.

I am an hourglass shape. I’m a 112 cm, 95 cm, 120 cm shape. Typically in other brands I buy a large or xl. I purchased a large. For me it was unwearably oversized. I have long arms but the sleeves extended down to my fingers. Fabric was very soft. Nice fine knit. Not thick and bulky. But just too oversized for my size and shape. Looked like a tent.
