India Mahdavi x H&M HOME: One color is never enough
She’s known for her playful palettes and impeccable style. The H&M HOME designer collab for 2022 brings the colorful world of India Mahdavi — acclaimed interior designer and architect — into your everyday life.
For India Mahdavi, color is a language. Her very own language.
Over the past 20 years, she has created an extensive collection of incredible interiors (you’ve probably seen her work in some of the most Instagrammed restaurants and boutiques in London, Paris and Tokyo).
Now, the signature style of India Mahdavi’s design will move into your home.
“With this collection, H&M HOME has offered me the opportunity to spread a joyful palette of colors on an international scale,” says India Mahdavi.
The collection focuses on artisanal knowledge and high-quality materials. The beautiful, crafted ceramics — patterned vases and tableware in vivid colorways — are all produced in Europe.
For the soft pieces of the collection — among them a handwoven rug and a blanket in 100% merino wool — the Indian traditions of weaving and other textile crafts proved to be perfect for production.
“India Mahdavi is an acclaimed designer who brings joy, optimism and color to the world of interiors. We wanted to create a poetic and contemplative collection that focuses on crafted quality and joyful colors, and we can’t wait to introduce our customers to India’s impeccable sense of color and design esthetics,” says Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, the head of design and creative at H&M HOME.
The India Mahdavi x H&M HOME collection will be available on hm.com/home and in select stores from April 28.
