Tie-belt shirt dress

Love this dress! Super comfortable and cool for summer. Versatile dressed up for work or down to go for a coffee. Size small is fine for my size 12 body, just a tiny bit snug on the waist but worth having the size to fit across the bust (B cup). Medium would have been too baggy up top. I'm a petite but wanted the extra length anyway. Wish it came in even more colours. Removing one star only because of one issue, which is that when I opened the packaging I was overwhelmed by the smell!! Horrible and cheesy (apparently this can be washing machines that aren't cleaned properly and so bacteria transfers to clothing). I had to decide to keep it and run it through a rinse cycle in my machine, which thankfully got rid of the smell and it thankfully did fit, but serious H&M - sort out your cleaning!

I decided to go up than my usual size because it is black so it already gives a slimming appearance. The tie belt gives it a lot of versatility, you can tie it at the front, back side, and a bow, knot it twice etc. Nice and flowy and the bottom, because of my height I will have to wear some shoes that give me a little elevation so it's not sweeping the floor as I sized up and because I am short. You can wrap the belt over twice if needed to give more waist definition. Because I sized up from my usual size there is some extra fabric at the waist but its less noticeable because of the black colour. But overall I like the dress, great feel will keep you cool in summer.

Love it. First h and m purchase, im usually between a UK 12-14, M-L, so can never really guess my size when it's a set size and not a "from x to x" size, I tried the L in-store and thought it may be a bit too big, but wasnt sure as it was the only size to try on. I took a chance by buying 3 different shirt dresses all in M and I love them all. I'm about 5.2"/5.3" , and I wear the dresses with flats and there's still a bit of space between the end of the dress and my ankles so I'm not even tripping up over it. I find the belt sits in the right place especially for a curvaceous hour glass.

I loved the floral version so much I bought this one, too. A perfect casual, but pretty day dress. It's super flattering and tailored well to nip in and flare out, but still loose and not tight-feeling anywhere. The shoulders and bust are definitely not going to be too tight as I'm a 34D and can still wear a push up and not even come close to straining the buttons or tightness over my swimmer's shoulders. But in a little daily bralette it hangs nicely without gaping. Also super soft.

Very flattering! Lovely and light and floaty. My fave new dress. A couple of points that may be useful: I’m a centimetre under 5’ and this dress is *almost* touching the floor. The fit is okay for me. However if you’re blessed with average - large breasts I’d advise going up a size as I’m only a B cup and it’s a bit tight across the chest.

Absolutely obsessed with this dress. It's so light on and you feel amazing in it. H&M please, please bring out more colours in it. A baby blue, blush pink and chocolate brown but plain dress would be amazing I've got the black and the khaki green and I wear them all the time but just want to buy more please bring out more colours

I ordered this black dress as I already have the leopard print dress and every time I wear it I get comments on how lovely it looks ;) it’s a brilliant shape nips in at the waist and the fabric is lovely and drapey I ordered the size XL as I am full busted if it helps I am a 38 G bra and a size 16 or 18 in very fitted clothes

This dress is gorgeous 😍. It hangs beautifully and as a busty size 14 I was a bit concerned a medium might not fit bit its perfect. The neckline is super flattering and it really is a fantastic fit. I have managed to order the same in the leopard print after it being sold out for a while so I'm very happy !

Amazing dress, looks great, lovely drapey material which hangs really well, flattering, can’t believe it’s only £19.99,bargain, had to go up a size though as tight across the bust (I’m 36dd), nice and long too, I’m 5’9” and like near ankle length, might get another colour as so wearable

Beautiful dress. The material is so soft and the dot is very flattering. Size large fitted me perfectly and I’m a size 16. I haven’t worn it yet but the material looks like it will crease a lot. I wanted a nice black lightweight dress for spring / summer. This is perfect.
