I got size 9-10 for my very slim daughter. These shorts fit her waist but they are so short her butt hangs out! Absolutely too short. We will try to size two steps up to see if that helps. Otherwise they are going back

Excessive fabric on the crotch that gave a flap which means these did not sit right on my daughter. Nice shorts that will fit someone else nicely.
