Defect: The 2 piece set was mistakenly sold online under the category and description “Pajamas.” The Set has a relaxed fit and therefore does not meet Health Canada’s Children’s Sleepwear Regulations for the flammability of children’s sleepwear.
Hazard exists if the garments are used as pajamas, because they do not meet the standard for the flammability of children’s sleepwear, they pose a risk of burn injuries to children.
Children’s pajamas are required to be snug fitting (ages 9 months and older). Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly.
Sold exclusively on hm.com. H&M is contacting all purchasers directly.
What to do? For your child’s safety, do not use the top or bottom of the set as sleepwear.
