Washed Linen Robe

I love linen and have previously purchased two other H&M washed linen robes in grey and taupe. They are both super soft, linen-crumply (❤️) and oh so comfy. I decided to order the black and am extremely disappointed with the fabric; it’s totally different than my others. I have washed the robe three times now and the material is still scratchy and rough. Yuck. I even double-checked the label to see if it was actually linen; feels more like a cotton linen blend. Other than the material/fabrication concerns, which is critical to me, I gave 2 stars for the generous wrap easy-to-wear styling. If you decide to buy the robe stay away from black!!! I hope H&M reviews the reviews and responds as I would love to return it :(

I wanted to like this, but alas the robe in white color is completely see-through. I saw them at the store after purchased it too, but it seems like white is the only one that seems to be the problem. It felt thinner than other colors when I touched them. I don’t think other colors have that issue, but I wanted to wear a white robe. Size also seems to run large, but that wasn’t much of an issue for me. I just can’t be wearing a bra inside a robe just to hide my nips! This is going back.

This robe is beautiful! The fabric is a thin linen, exactly what I was looking for to wear as a housecoat. I am 5'4", 140ish lbs normally, but currently 152 at 6.5 months pregnant and this robe fits amazingly well. Very nice and loose fitting, will easily fit til the end of my pregnancy and then hopefully be super comfy postpartum! It is technically oversized with the way it fits, but I expected that as it is unisex and will be rating the size and fit accordingly.

I wish there were more sizes offered (specifically, XS/S) but I suppose a robe is not meant to be fitted anyway so in the end size S/M is not too long nor too big for someone around my height (5’3). The only thing that actually does give away the fact that this is not necessarily meant for someone petite is the placement of the pockets which does feel a couple of inches too low. The sleeves are a perfect length though! All in all, very happy with this purchase!

Great deal for a linen robe. Material is abundant. I steamed it because the fold lines out of the packaging were quite harsh. It still creases and folds as linen does. If you're not okay with that, then avoid linen. I got the blue because I thought it was the least boring/washed out colour but I wish there was a more fun colour/pattern selection. I get that neutrals appeal to more people though. I would've liked to see a striped one or a deep purple.

Nice bathrobe, but it runs smaller than I thought. I wanted it to be really oversized and slouchy in terms of fit, and it is not. I’m a size 10 and purchased the S/M. It fits just fine - I can fully close it, but it’s a slimmer fit and I don’t get the very loose slouchy fit I’m looking for. I wish I had gone with the M/L size! Also, thought it would be longer - close to ankle length - but it’s about mid calf.

Beautiful material!! Light & airy. Had to return as it was too big. This robe is more of a men’s fit…belt & pockets sit lower on the waist; it’s a boxier cut. The linen is really good quality though! I’m going to try ordering in the smaller size. They should definitely make this robe but a bit more fitted & a little longer AND in some other colours (ie. like the “muslin” robes they sell).

I originally purchased the s/m (I’m 5’9 and between a size 6/8) and it was a little too short on the sleeves and in length so I exchanged it for the l/xl and now I’m very happy with it. I probably could have gotten away with a s/m but I know linen tends to shrink a bit in the wash and I wanted it to be oversized. The material is a little stiff but I think it will soften with a few washes.

Not great. I got the larger size hoping for more length but the belt is too low so once it’s tied at the waist it just kinda gapes open up top and the pockets are weird as well. It’s just an odd fit overall. Washed and dried without shrinkage but it hasn’t softened up yet. *I’m 5’8 and it hits just below the knee on me belted. Mid-low calf not belted. *The colour is very nice.

I love this robe so much, the linen is lovely and soft after washing too, and I put it in the dryer with no problems. The light grey is a bit sheer but it’s not really a problem for around the house. I only wish they had more colours available. A few years ago I bought this in a beautiful yellow for my mother and she loves it too.
