Definitely undersized, I normally wear a 16 because I like looser jeans. So I was suggested by other comments and took bigger ones, up to 20. And I did very well, because this size fits me nice, they are loose, they don't restrict my movements, I feel comfortable in them. BUT! I took also the same size in darker colour and they are bit smaller then this, anyway I am gonna keep them and wear around the house or on the beach.

Read some reviews to size up and I shouldn't have. I'm a size 10 bottom and the 12 were huge on my waist so re ordered the 10 and they are much better and still a little roomy on the waist but perfect everywhere else so really doesn't just depend on your body type. They are the perfect denim shorts though. Really nice high waist and comfy show no bum cheeks at the bottom!

Soft, comfortable pair of shorts. Good length. Usually an H&M size 12; to be on the safe side I ordered a 12 and 14 considering other reviews. Pleased I did, 12 fit but 14 were far more comfortable (not much in it really). I think I need a size 13 for them to be perfect! However, they're excellent for the price point. Highly recommend.

Super cute, I'm a 8-10 and the ten is best, although when I sit down the thighs are a bit too tight but it's not uncomfy and I do have large thighs. The colour is a bit brighter than the photo but I don't mind too much and the rips aren't as large which is a shame. The length is nice as it's just under my bum and won't flash anyone

I originally bought these shorts in black and liked them so much, I bought them in blue. Unfortunately the blue pair appear to be bigger than my black pair despite both being a size 6. The length is perfect (I'm 5ft 5in) and I like the fit on the bum, but the crotch area falls too low (too big) which looks a bit strange!

Originally had these in light blue denim and found they fit perfectly so bought the same pair but in black. Glad I did. I struggle to buy denim shorts that fit well but these were perfect. I have a small waist and wide hips and the fit catered to that. I'm a size S / 10 usually

Sizing is spot on but the frayed details on the bottom are completely different. One side the fray is thin and barely there and the other is really thick and basically half the short, not sure what's gone wrong but for the price I expected better.

If you are debating between these ones and the mom version of this I returned these but kept the mom version. I liked the lighter colour and length of the other ones better. I wish H&M would list what their inseam length is - that would help.

H&M sizing always bullies me haha, I'm usually a 4 but lately everything has been slightly too loose, so I decided to size down with this one and got a 2 and Lo and behold it's too tight, but 4 definitely would have been loose… ugh
