Stella McCartney H&M

British designer Stella McCartney returns to H&M with a new collection of contemporary womenswear, illustrating that creativity and desirability can thrive while embracing recycled and certified materials as alternatives to conventional fibres.
As the second designer ever to take part in a H&M collaboration, Stella McCartney returns after 21 years with a new Stella McCartney H&M collection. The collection brings together timeless wardrobe staples, relaxed tailoring and Stella’s unapologetic take on modern femininity. Grounded in her work as both a designer and as a voice for change within the fashion industry, the collection is crafted using selected materials, including materials with recycled content and materials made from alternative feedstocks such as industrial corn.

Since launching her namesake label in 2001 Stella McCartney has championed alternatives to animal leather and fur. For the latest H&M collaboration she introduces a cropped bomber jacket with a snakeskin-effect texture. The coated material of this standout piece is partly made from recycled vegetable oil and agricultural crop, such as straw. Another outerwear highlight is the long trenchcoat: clean, classic and unmistakably British. The shell fabric for this staple is made from ROC™ (Regenerative Organic Certified) cotton. Farms certified by ROC™ must implement plans to improve soil and land quality, animal welfare, and farmworker fairness.
Tailoring is central in Stella McCartney’s design language, refined during her time on Savile Row, and it shows in pieces like the double-breasted blazer with matching baggy trouser. Designed for seamless day to night dressing, the wool blazer and tailored trousers are made with wool certified to the RWS Standard. Products certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) contain wool fibre from farms certified to animal welfare and land management requirements.

As a red-carpet mainstay Stella McCartney knows how to design occasion wear with an edge, and the H&M collaboration is no exception. Opulent pieces include the embellished bodysuit, mini dress and bra, each adorned with glass beads made from 80% recycled glass. The knitted dress in organic cotton is another embellished dress featuring a prominent chain-trimmed neckline. The style is also available as a tank top and the chain for both styles are made in recycled metal.
Draping plays a key role throughout, seen across tops and dresses alike. One of the highlights is a red chiffon mini dress: a one-shoulder style made in a recycled material sourced from garment collecting and leftovers/scraps from textile production.

Accessories complete the story. The snakeskin pattern seen across the collection appears on ballerina flats and handbags, while the two-tone chunky chain necklace with matching bracelet and statement earrings are all made from recycled metal. There are also tote bags in organic cotton featuring the Stella McCartney logo, which can be embellished with keyring charms from the collection. The printed scarves in silk and cotton/silk offer another glimpse of Stella’s British heritage and her enduring fascination with horses. Both scarves are certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), a leading textile‑processing standard that sets requirements across the entire certified value chain. GOTS requirements cover both social and environmental criteria, including workers’ rights and the use of organic fibres produced without synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, or other harmful chemicals.

For more laid-back styling, the collection also includes oversized T-shirts, hoodies, oversized shirts and relaxed fit trousers. All made in GOTS certified cotton. The easy silhouettes and considered materials find the perfect balance between effortless and chic.
The Stella McCartney H&M collection blends iconic design and innovative ideas, through a creative collaboration. The collection is available in selected stores and at hm.com on 7 May 2026.
