Interview

Exploring the collection with Kelly Wearstler.
Can you share the genesis of your very first design idea?
“We began our journey by questioning what would bring beauty and functionality into homes. We wanted to create something with a sculptural presence that brings energy and joy to the space. It all started with a vase designed to feel fresh and innovative, with interesting materiality.”
Why was it essential for you to include furniture?
“I wanted to share pieces that could be essential building blocks for living. This includes core furniture pieces and accessories. Daily rituals were a primary source of inspiration, and so the collection touches upon all sorts of elements from our daily lives.”
How do you think modularity relates to how people want to furnish their homes these days?
“Modularity translates to flexibility. In this collection, you can purchase our chairs and arrange them in various configurations — two love seats, four individual chairs, or one long sofa. This versatility speaks to what people crave now: adaptable solutions. Modularity plays a key role in that.”
How does this collection reflect your broader design philosophy?
“Through its mixed materiality and emphasis on craftsmanship. There is an element of surprise and uniqueness in every piece.”
Selected pieces from the collection will be shown at Milan Design Week in an immersive exhibition. Why does this feel like the right place for the launch?
“Milan has become such an exciting convergence of creative minds, not just in design, but also in fashion, food, automotive and tech. It gets to the core of what motivates and inspires me. I’ve been searching for the right opportunity to bring a full-scale installation to life that would transport and inspire people from around the world.”
The installation takes place at Palazzo Acerbi, an incredible venue that has not previously been open to the public.
“The space is magical. What makes it even more special is that it’s never been presented for a Milan Design Week exhibition before — we’re the first. I think people will be curious to experience it in this context. It’s the perfect backdrop for the collection.”
What’s your view on the relationship between fashion and interior design?
“My love for fashion started at a very young age, experimenting with vintage clothing and the thrill of discovering truly unique pieces. To me, getting dressed feels like assembling a room. Fashion and interior design have always gone hand in hand.”
Do you have a favourite item?
“I genuinely love them all. I particularly enjoyed experimenting with perspective and illusion through the range, infusing objects of everyday with elements of surprise and play. Pieces such as the Aurex table lamp and the Curva vase are great examples of this.”
