Norfolk Pine

This evergreen conifer has tiered branches, fan-like foliage and a distinctively festive look to it, making it a popular Christmas tree choice. You'd be forgiven for mistaking it for a pine, but it's actually part of the Araucariaceae family. The soft needles of this plant get darker as it matures and generally reach an overall height of around three to five feet tall inside.Whilst this is a popular Christmas tree, it doesn't love winter temperatures – quite the opposite. This tropical plant is native to Norfolk Island, a small island in the Pacific between Australia and New Zealand, so it loves moderate temperatures and moist air.
