Transportation restrictions - Dangerous goods
About dangerous goods
We are really pleased to offer you a great range of fashion with a wide selection of cosmetics. However, a few of our cosmetics contain flammable substances and therefore have delivery restrictions. Eg. nail polish, certain perfumes and nail polish removers as well as pressurised spray cans.
At the same time, all our beauty items are tested to ensure that they are safe to use. It’s only if you wish to return or exchange items containing flammable substances that you need to be aware that there are special transportation requirements.
Excluded addresses
Although fashion is meant to be available for everyone, some of our cosmetics classified as dangerous goods can’t be delivered to all locations due to transportation restrictions.
Right now we cannot deliver dangerous goods to Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Scilly Islands, Channel Islands and Scottish Isles.
Returns
To return any beauty product classified as dangerous goods use H&M’s original packaging as it already has the LQ Dangerous goods label (pictured below). If you do not have the original packaging, pack your items securely and print a new LQ Dangerous goods label from the link below. Make sure to add paper or padding so your item stays securely in place during transit.
This label is used to inform the carrier that the package contains flammable substances and has special transportation requirements.
Please note, if you are making a return WITHOUT any beauty product classified as dangerous goods, you must remove the LQ Dangerous goods label from the box.
Here is how you return or exchange dangerous goods:
- The product must be packed in a box with the LQ Dangerous goods label attached, if you need to a new label click here.
- Make sure the item is securely packed.
- Then register your return as normal.
