Mango wood chopping board

Maybe I was silly thinking chopping boards are for chopping things on top of them, but this is very bad quality for such use. The dark paint immediately came off contaminating the vegetables. It better be food safe but even then this is not very healthy. At best this can be used as a serving board, but I worry that the splintering would cause issues with that. Looks pretty at least.

Some reviews mentioned the colour being too dark but the one I received looks exactly like the photos. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be. The grain is not smooth and shiny, more of a natural rustic look. It's called a chopping board but to be honest it looks too nice for chopping. I imagine if used as a chopping board it would need oiling to preserve it.

We love Mango Wood items/utensils in our household, and I had this saved in my favourites for so long! So glad to have finally got my hands on it, it's a gorgeous deep brown and it goes so well with our kitchen. It's not a smooth chopping board but it's practical, you can feel the textured wood grain throughout it but I love the authenticity of that.

Wanted a cutting board that was food safe, had a unique shape, and wasn't orange toned. This was a good size. Yes it's a little rough but not so rough that it would give you splinters. We use it everyday. The dark stain is starting to fade slightly in some areas so I put some mineral oil on it. Love it and don't regret my purchase at all.

A lot darker in person - more of a dark walnut. In picture it looks similar tone to the other mango wood products h&m sell but it's not, almost has black undertones. Still love it though, fabulous quality for the price and not like any I've seen elsewhere, looks almost vitage.

Nice chopping board but came much darker than the photo on the site or other mango wood products I purchased previously. It’s more like ‘dark chocolate’. I would prefer it to be the colour shown on the website. I’m thinking of returning it.

I’m obsessed with chopping boards and this one did not disappoint! Beautiful mango wood - the colour is slightly darker than in the picture but I prefer a darker wood - so pleased I may just order the larger size as well!

Wish I’d taken the advice of other reviews as this chopping board is so dark and very rough. Not at all like the picture. So disappointing. Not sure why the pictures aren’t more accurate.

LOVE this board. I definitely have way too many but this is such a great size and the wood is gorgeous. Can't wait to serve some cheese on this to friends and show it off.

This board in my opinion is sadly not fit for purpose. If you wish for a display item only then it's fine, but the surface is so rough it's not hygienic for food use..
