Bought them for my son as he started reception. The following week he wore them and they started smelling very bad, a damp smell to them and now it doesn't go away. Did not wash them as I am afraid to damage and break them. Update: Last week of term one and the shoes started to peel and rip at the seams where the soles are.. Do not recommend buying at all.

I would avoid these as school shoes. I bought 3 pairs for 3 kids, they've only been at school for about 2 weeks and this is already wearing out, especially the front, starting to peel. It's just not a great pair and certainly won't last them the term. So I'll now be spending more to get them all new pairs! So I would suggest you pay more for decent shoes.

I would not recommend these for everyday wear or for school. My son has worn these for three days and the front of the shoes has already rubbed out and scuffed. For that reason I will not purchase these again and I would recommend that no other parent purchases these. They are not durable or suitable for school.

I can't attest to lasting power yet. They're for nursery and I've tried to find just all black velcro trainers everywhere that have a wide-ish fit and are still affordable. H&m trainers always fit my daughter well, and are always comfortable for her. These are perfect

Nice basic trainers but were a little snug on my son so had to return. Size up to be sure they will fit.

Had to return these as they were too snug for my daughter otherwise decent trainers for the price
